Hi!, my name is Paul Nielsen Alcayro and Let me share my experience about transitioning to Freelancing.

Freelancing
Work From Home

As the whole world have witness that it took a big downfall with the outbreak of the CoVid-19, many business have been shutdown because of lockdowns, strict travel and limitations. The economy of each country took a big hit also. Many have lost their jobs because of this. Personally, I myself also suffered from this. I was about to go overseas to look for greener pastures but unfortunately the country I was about to go to imposed a nationwide lockdown, as I have heard the news I got depressed as I have waited for this opportunity for a long time.

For the first time in my life I lost my direction I don't where to go or where to start. But then one time I was scrolling through Facebook that there are still companies that are still hiring. So I being jobless got curious about it that here are still companies that have withstand these kind of situations especially the BPO industries and the Freelancers who just Work-From-Home.

So I decided to transition to the these kind of career, fortunately I got hired as a Customer Service Representative for Amazon - Audible. the experience was challenging and fulfilling at the same time. It was challenging because it was my first time in this industry but through training I got comfortable and I gain confidence as I get to talk different customer concerns everyday and solving their problems and that is the fulfilling part. all was good that I enjoyed being in the production floor everyday but the threat of the CoVid-19 is still there. And it is not safe for me and my family.

So I quit my job as being a Customer Service Representative and took risk to start in the Freelancing Industry. Since I was new to this Industry. I decided to look for some trainings online and saw Filipino Virtual Assistance. and fortunately their training course is on sale so I decided to enroll. The transition to different career path is never easy I got so many challenges that overwhelmed me that I wanted to quit or to never enter this industry. but with the help of the FVA family and Coach Grace that gave me inspirations and words of encouragement that I decided to strive harder and face those challenges.

Since beginning my journey in this field, my dedication to the work and motivation to grow have led me to exceptional projects and experiences. I’m grateful for a profession I’m passionate about, and am proud to share examples of my greatest work. Take a moment to check out my portfolio, and get in touch with any questions.
